My chihuahua, Zorro, loves my mother. He follows her around and gets annoyed when she goes into her room or gets out of the car (if he’s with us). My mother’s former colleague, who also owns a chihuahua, said that chihuahuas pick one person to be their favorite. I was wondering why chihuahuas do that.
Actually I have 2 chihuahua’s, and they focus their attention on both my husband and I. I think it depends what they want. If they want to be cared for they come to me….if they want to be loved they go to my husband. I get snuggles and kisses too, just not as many.

I think they only have so much devotion to share. Hence, one person gets it all. You know they are somewhat small. Not a lot of devotion can fit in those tiny bodies.
